March Highlights at Save Your Wardrobe
March has been a dynamic and inspiring month for Save Your Wardrobe (SYW), filled with industry recognition, insightful discussions, and meaningful collaborations that continue to shape the future of circular fashion and aftercare solutions. Here’s a look back at our key moments from the past month.

International Women’s Day: A Spotlight on Female Leadership

We were honoured to be featured on the App Store under the 'Female Leaders' promotion for International Women’s Day. This recognition highlights the incredible work of our founder and CEO, Hasna Kourda, and our entire team of changemakers. Being acknowledged alongside other pioneering female-led apps is a testament to our commitment to transforming the fashion industry through sustainable aftercare solutions.

In celebration of International Womens Day, we also spoke to women driving change in sustainability, from founders, to authors, educators, and innovators—asking them: “What advice do you wish you had in your early career?” The key takeaways? The power of collective leadership, the courage to pivot, the strength to say no, and the importance of trusting your vision. These insights reinforce the impact of female leadership in challenging the status quo and pushing boundaries for a better future.

One to One Retail E-Commerce Event, Monaco

We were thrilled to be selected as one of the 20 finalist startups for the 2025 Village Startups showcase at the prestigious One to One Retail E-Commerce event in Monaco. Our very own Mehdi Doghri delivered a compelling 2-minute pitch, demonstrating how SYW is redefining aftersales and circularity for brands and retailers. The event provided a great opportunity to connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and reinforce our mission of integrating repairability into the fashion ecosystem.

Testing Service Partners in the Middle East

As part of our ongoing mission to expand global repair and aftercare solutions, we have been actively testing service partners in the Middle East. This initiative is a significant step towards ensuring seamless and high-quality repair services for brands operating in the region. By identifying and collaborating with trusted partners, we aim to enhance accessibility, standardise repair processes, and support regional brands in adopting circularity with confidence.

Hosting Students: Bridging Education & Sustainability

We had the privilege of hosting students from both ESSEC Business School, France, and Vanderbilt University, offering them valuable insights into sustainability and circular fashion, providing students with an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities in building tech-driven aftercare solutions in an evolving market. These discussions reinforce the importance of educating future leaders on the role of circularity and repairability in shaping a more sustainable world.

Consumer Insights: What Influences Buying Decisions?

This month, we ran a consumer poll to uncover what influences people’s purchasing decisions the most. Here’s what we found:

  • Sustainability & Ethics: 41%
  • Brand Reputation: 20%
  • Recommendations & Reviews: 11%
  • Price & Discount: 28%

These results reaffirm the growing importance of sustainability and ethical considerations in consumer decision-making. As brands continue to adapt, integrating circular solutions like repair and aftercare will be key to driving long-term loyalty and trust.

British Fashion Council’s Institute of Positive Fashion Forum

At the British Fashion Council’s Institute of Positive Fashion Forum, our CEO, Hasna Kourda, took part in a pivotal discussion on ‘Decoupling: An Opportunity to Reframe Business as Usual’.

Hasna highlighted the urgent need to embed repairability into product design from the outset, aligning with the upcoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. Her message was clear:

“Circularity is not just about fixing problems; it’s about reworking the entire system for a truly sustainable future.”

Farzeen Shafeek also represented SYW, speaking on the impact of evolving European regulations on repair. She shared insights on France’s Refashion Fund, which subsidises repairs to make them more accessible, driving both consumer demand and brand adoption.

Unlocking the Future of Retail and Luxury Roundtable

Mehdi joined Lucy Hurel’s roundtable on ‘Unlocking the Future of Retail and Luxury’, hosted by FrenchFounders and welcome at the Save Your Wardrobe HQ. Key takeaways included:

  • The post-Brexit retail landscape – Mehdi discussed how technology and digital tools are helping brands navigate the new market constraints, ensuring they remain adaptable and competitive.
  • Sustainability as an opportunity, not just a challenge – Mehdi also explored emerging repair, recycling, and care & repair initiatives within fashion and why Europe is leading the way in sustainability regulations compared to the UK. Brands that embrace eco-friendly practices, supply chain transparency, and circular fashion models gain a competitive edge.
  • Re-engaging customers in meaningful ways – From personalisation to loyalty programmes, brands must focus on authentic storytelling and value-driven engagement. Mehdi highlighted the role of digital tools in customer engagement, demonstrating how online experiences can enrich the in-store journey.

Paris Good Fashion’s Sustainable Fashion Horizons Conference

Closing the month on a high note, Hasna spoke at the Sustainable Fashion Horizons Conference in Paris, hosted by Paris Good Fashion and the Institut Français de la Mode.

Key themes:

  • Scalability in aftercare services – Brands must ensure seamless customer experiences globally, made possible through technology and automation.
  • Bridging the gap between corporations and startupsCollaboration accelerates innovation, enabling brands to solve challenges in months rather than years.
  • Customer experience beyond the point of sale – Hasna reinforced that:

“The customer journey doesn’t end at checkout. Repair and aftercare are vital to building lasting brand relationships.”
